Our Mission

The Northern Panhandle RC&D was created to provide an avenue for people, local governments, and groups to work together to develop and carry out an action oriented plan for the social, economic, and environmental betterment of the area.

The Northern Panhandle RC&D Council is a unique partnership between local, state, and federal agencies and organizations, focusing on Land Conservation and Management, Water Management, and conservation natural resources.

Who does the Northern Panhandle Resource Conservation & Development Council serve?

The Northern Panhandle RC&D Council serves the four counties of West Virginia’s Northern Panhandle, including Hancock, Brooke, Ohio, and Marshall counties.

What kind of projects do we work on?

Since its inception, the Northern Panhandle RC&D Council has completed over 200 projects by providing financial and technical assistance. Projects include development of outdoor learning classrooms, community garden projects, and similar projects.
