Hancock County Extension Engineering Design Program

The $250 provided to the Hancock County Extension Service from the Northern Panhandle RC&D was used to purchase supplies for the Here's the Scoop Engineering Design Program. This STEM program targeted kindergarten, first, and second-grade students, reaching 431 youth. The program focused on environmental engineering, promoting sustainable initiatives, recycling, and fostering a growth mindset and STEM skills. The students actively participated in engineering their trash collectors to save "Danny the Duck" from a polluted pond.
